“Test Kitchen Urban Homesteading Class: Wine Blending”
|
|
Please join us for the first Test Kitchen class of its kind. Come learn the fine art of wine blending from Missouri Winemaker, Michael Amigoni. Michael is the only winemaker in the state that is exclusively growing all French grape varietals in his vineyard in Centerview, MO.
In this class you will learn, how and why winemakers blend wines together and you will be sampling the four red wines you will be blending: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Once Michael has taught you the measuring techniques, you will be free to use your creativity and your palate to develop a blended wine that you would be proud to have your name on.
Each person in the class will then have the opportunity to submit the blend they like the best, to a Tasting Panel who will sample each blend, and determine a winner. The winner gets to go home with a full bottle of their own personal blend. Everyone else will then get an opportunity to enjoy a glass of the winning blend while sampling a delicious spread of appetizers created by Carey Weir, Owner/Chef/Sommelier of Salt Catering.

Your donation of $100 per person is appreciated and will be payable online within 48 hours of receiving your "You Are In" confirmation email should you be selected to attend this event via the Test Kitchen lottery.

To reserve a spot(s), please respond to this e-mail with the names and number of people in your party that you would like placed in
the lottery with you. There will be a short window during which reservation requests will be accepted, please respond no later than
5 pm on Wednesday, March 20th, 2013. We will close the lottery then and determine The Test Kitchen attendees. There are 20 seats
available for this event. We will notify all lottery winners of the status of their reservation via email by 5 pm on Thursday, March 21st, 2013.
If you do not hear from us by then, you did not make it onto the list for this event. Once you put your name in the lottery,
check your email inbox often. If you are selected, the donation process goes very fast and if we don't hear from you, we give
your seat to someone else.
